Who am I?
I'm a Christian first and foremost. After that I'm a husband and father. I also happen to be
a musician, production music composer, a live sound engineer, and a music teacher. I've been
playing drums for almost 30 years, piano/keyboards for 15+ years, and I do okay on rhythm
guitar and bass.
From my senior year of high school in 2007 until 2009, I studied at the Lexington
School for Recording Arts in Lexington, KY. It was here that I learned about recording,
editing, and mixing in both analog and digital realms, as well as live sound production.
In 2014 I enrolled at the University of Louisville School of Music where I studied jazz under the
tutelage of some of the region's best jazz players. I graduated with high honors in 2017 with a Bachelors of Music in
Jazz Drumset Performance.
In the fall of 2018 I began teaching drumset and keyboard at School of Rock Louisville. In 2021 I was
promoted to Assistant Music Director. Now in my 6th year at the school, I continue to teach 5 days a week,
both individual lessons as well as various groups.
